P. Bowman ("Bo") Root, III is the owner of Bo Root Builders.  He is a 1975 graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.  Following graduation, Bo opened his construction company in Erie, Pa.  Bo specialized in new home construction, historical renovations and remodeling.  Among his historical renovations in Erie are The Hamot House (1828), The DicksonTavern (1817) and The Hoskinson Double House (1841).  While in Erie, Pa he was a partner in developing two residential communities.  He was the first place winner in the 1993 Northwestern PA Homebuilders Association Show  (large home remodeling category).  
In the fall of 1995, Bo and his family relocated to Chapel Hill, NC.  During the past 23 years, Bo has incorporated his award winning talents by building new homes, and remodeling homes, featuring classic American architecture while incorporating modern construction techniques, materials, and old fashioned pride of workmanship.  Bo has been a memberof the NC Homebuilders Association, The National Homebuilders Association, Past President of the Homebuilders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.
